Yeah thanks moose, the plates finish off the car nicely I think.... :D I think they're worth the cash each year. I kept trying to see if the were available for a year or so and one day they just came up... I could'nt hit 'order now' quick enough...

Butters,

The only drama we have had with the Nistune (and it was only on the last tune) is it kept dropping out when we'd hit consult. It only done it a few times...

We'd love access to a few more features... Although there are plenty now to get a great tune.

I have some footage from the last Track day i did but its pretty dodgy... Its from a bit of a distance so you cant really get a good sound from the car and my missus could not hold a camera still to save her life....

Im hoping to get some nice close up and in car stuff on the next day (5th December) so I can post it up...

P.S.

My car is not loud enough. After seeing the footage from my first track day i need to mod the exhaust... Definately going to get rid of 1 muffler. Hopefully in time for the 5th.

Couple pics of the Track day...

Car went awsome, Temp gauge didnt move all day and it was a pretty hot day around lunch time...

Eastern Creek is a quick track. You dont realise how fast your going until you have to turm into turn 1

I counted 5 (thats right 5 of these bad boys) R35 GTR's there on the day.

A heap of EVO's, a couple Ferrari, Lotus's, Cobra's, Porsche track cars just to name a few...

I was shit'n myself when i got there in the morning, lucky they split us up into groups (beginners to experts) but as you can see below the cars in my group were still pretty quick...

Nice man...
Did you go with a thermostat on the oil cooler? Thinking about what I'm going to do with mine. Remote mounting the filter in my mind is really for wank value, but having said that it would make it easier to service.
Power steer cooler must be in preparation for some serious time sideways on full lock with big castor

Coilovers look plush! The adjustable bottom perch will give you an advantage. Going to go hardout and setup the corner weights? LOL
BIggup on the gagues, thats where I had mine, yours look real tidy.

Hey whats happening peoples....

Hav'nt posted for a while.

All the coolers are hooked up and doing there job perfectly... I used the oil cooler block with the thermo in it too.

The power steer cooler is awsome. After 3 days of absolute thrashing at Powercruise the fluid didnt leak one bit...

Oil temps are really good. I removed the factory water thermo before powercruise too and added some Redline "water wetter" and the hottest my car got was 90d. And that was at lunch time in 30+ degree heat...

Hydro handbrake is in too. Its the best thing on the car  . It makes drift time so good...

On the downside, turbo is getting a little noisy... I went to the drags just before powercruise and i think i hurt it. I was only running 1 bar of boost but i had 8 hard runs and i dont think it liked it...

That was a good night, i ended up running a 12.9 @ 108mph. Thats full "street trim" too. Floor mats and everything

The fastest mph was 111, so there's a little potential there with this stock turbo...

Sounds like she's running a treat. Trubo's come and go, maybe it's an oppertunity to look at a different trim.

Your running the stock one atm arent you?

Yeah stock turbo man. Its been good to me... :D

I'm looking at a few options now, not going to rush into it. Just trying to get as much info on each turbo as i can. I want it to be low mount on the factory manifold with an external gate, and i dont want to loose the response i have now either... Minimal lag and 300rwkw, thats not asking to much...

I have a vid but im trying to cut it down from the minute and a half it is now to the 20 seconds it needs to be because its 10meg. I dont have any video editng software; im trying to get some asap...

I know if i jump into upgrading the turbo it will open a can of worms... I cant help myself so it always ends up costing more then it should (exhibit 'A'... Just buying a Silvia to put a stock SR20 in it for some Drift/Track work-now with a VQ30 etc etc  )...

I still want to change the front brakes to lighter GTR calipers or Brembos so i can run the larger rotors and throw some better pads in. I might do that next before the turbo.

Plus modding the exhaust to make it a little louder is still on top of my list...

From my calcs, a GT35 is the smallest you'd really want to go. As for the trim, an 82 will give better low down but should get to 300rwkw easily enough. A 102 will give you more top end but you'll miss out on the low end power.
They come with both internal and external gate options, but are not cheap.
Another option I've considered is just an XR6 Turbo. Cheap and should do the job pretty well.
If your looking at keeping the stock manifolds, I'm struggling to see where an external will go / work well.
